Cookies baked by Moree’s youngest entrepreneur available at Deluxe Cafe Moree!

CHOCOLATE-chip cookie connoisseur Clancy Carroll is a young girl driven by ambition and at 11 years of age is arguably Moree’s youngest entrepreneur.

Her home-made chocolate-chip cookies have in just a couple of years become must-haves for many Moree residents – and those that haven’t tried Clancy’s Cookies can dip in for the first time tomorrow when Clancy teams up with Deluxe Café Moree at Moree on a Plate.

“I have always loved to cook from a very young age,” Clancy said.

“The cookie recipe I use was in mum’s cookbook and whenever I wanted to cook with mum that’s what I would always choose to make.

“A couple of years ago I approached Billy and Cindy Poulos and asked them to consider selling my cookies at their coffee van and my business grew from there,” she said.

“I have weekly orders from Billy and Cindy, and I am now also making cookies for anyone when they ring and order – teachers at my school are some of my most loyal supporters.

“I always try to make Clancy’s Cookies very yummy and with love,” she beamed.

Deluxe Café Moree owner Cindy Poulos said Clancy’s Cookies were a popular counter-top item.

“We have a lot of customers who reach for the cookies even before they place their coffee order,” Cindy smiled.

“Clancy’s Cookies are very popular, especially at junior sports on Saturday mornings, and Clancy does a huge job keeping up with demand – it’s a credit to her to be able to juggle her booming business and schoolwork.”
