Sun protection for Tulloona Pony Club now possible with MPSC donation

MOREE Plains Shire Council is supporting the Tulloona Pony Club with $1240 through Council’s Public Donations financial assistance program to help the club purchase portable shade tents to be used at pony camps and Jamborees.

Tulloona Pony Club secretary-treasurer Teresa Munro said more than 85 local children from the Tulloona and Moree area, as well as families from Brisbane, Sydney, Goondiwindi, Tenterfield and Toowoomba all return year after year to enjoy the community spirit and riding opportunities.Tulloona Pony Club

“Pony camp is a bit like a big reunion; generations of families return to Tulloona to relive their childhood memories and share the positive experiences with their children and grandchildren,” Ms Munro said.

“We have a great volunteer base and find that the older teenagers and young adults are really making a difference with the younger members.

“Like all small clubs, fundraising is difficult, so we really appreciate the financial support from Council and look forward to having shade and protection from the elements at camp and for district riding events,” she said.
