St Philomena’s Spring Fair just weeks away

THE St Philomena’s Spring Fair is just around the corner, and the annual event is a proven recipe for fun the whole community can enjoy.

Come Sunday, September 22 the grounds of St Philomena’s will transform into a children’s wonderland of fairy dens, jumping castles and action-packed rides, as the school celebrates its major annual fundraiser.

With a hive of activities on offer, catered towards the whole community, organisers encourage everyone to come along and enjoy a family fun day out.

The school community is also now welcoming donations to its bric-a-brac, used book and clothing stalls, and of course any green thumbs out there are more than welcome to start potting up for the garden stall.

Eddie Ball and Will Marshall take charge of the lemon stall. Fresh produce, plants and second hand books and bric-a-brac for the annual Spring Fair can now be donated to St Philomena’s School.

Items can be delivered to the school office.

Volunteers for the day are also now being taken for anyone wishing to contribute.

The annual Spring Fair will again prove a feast for the senses, and will include a smorgasbord of delicious food options to tantalise the taste buds, plus Ambulance, Fire Fighter, Police and Army demonstrations.

A scenic train ride and motorbike dashes around the oval are a delight for youngsters, while a variety of used book stalls, bric-a-brac stalls and gardening stalls ensure something for everyone.

The St Philomena’s Spring Fair on the school grounds on Boston Street will run from 10.30am until 2pm, and entry is free.
