Police investigate armed robbery at Narrabri

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed at knifepoint in Narrabri yesterday morning.

About 9.45am yesterday (December 16), a 25-year-old man was walking on Violet Street, when he was approached by a man.

Officers have been told the man threatened him with a knife and demanded his wallet.CopCar

The 25-year-old complied and the armed man was last seen running along the Namoi River.

Police from Barwon Local Area Command are investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

The armed man is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 183cm tall, with a thin build, and a tribal tattoo on his left forearm. At the time, he was wearing a black hooded jumper, and grey long pants.
