Man charged following armed robbery at Moree service station

A man has been charged following an alleged armed robbery at a service station in Moree on Sunday.

About 10.20pm (Sunday 13 December 2015), a man allegedly entered the service station on the corner of Alice and Frome streets armed with a knife.

He allegedly threatened the attendant, before fleeing with an amount of cash.Police003

The attendant was not injured during the incident.

Police from Barwon Local Area Command were called. A search of the area failed to locate the man.

A crime scene was established and was examined by specialist forensic officers.

About 1.30am (Monday 14 December 2015), following investigations, a 41-year-old Moree man attended Moree Police Station. He was arrested and charged with armed robbery.

He was refused bail and appeared at Moree Local Court yesterday (Monday 14 December 2015), where he was again refused bail to appear at the same court on Wednesday 10 February 2015.
