Kids well looked after at Moree on a Plate Saturday!!

Media Release

IT is not just the parents who get to have all the fun this weekend at the Moree On a Plate Food and Wine Festival, with a dedicated Kids’ Korner ensuring a day of festivities for the littlest community members as well.

A jumping castle, photo booth, face-painting and craft stations will be included in the area, as well as cooking demonstrations from Melbourne performer, Bubble Muffin.MOAP004

Bubble Muffin will hold a number of stage shows demonstrating the benefits of fresh, whole food with the aim to teach a new generation about the benefits of healthy eating, in a fun and interactive format.

“My energetic and hands-on acts ensures kids are totally engaged and excited, making healthy eating really fun,” Bubble Muffin’s Kevin said.

And there will be no dinner-time dramas come Saturday either, with myriad producers at the festival that even the fussiest little taste buds will be catered for – and for the duration of Moree on a Plate, Cold Comforts ice-cream van will be at Kids’ Korner to ensure cold treats aplenty.

Cold Comforts offers nine flavours including Chocolate Obsession, Passionfruit, kids’ favourite Rainbow, Peppermint Choc-Chip, Rum & Raisin, Cookie & Cream, Boysenberry, traditional Vanilla and the recently-added Rock Salt Caramel.

All the usual cold treats and milkshakes will be available as well.

The 2016 Moree on a Plate festival, held on the grounds of Moree Secondary College’s Albert Street campus, will this year host more than 50 exhibitors. The day starts at 10am and goes through until 4pm, with the main entrance on Frome Street opposite the multi-purpose centre.
