Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service Brisbane is excited to announce the next round of the Young, Black and Proud Scholarships are now OPEN.

This round is statewide again thanks to the support of the Queensland Family and Child Commission.

There’s more than $30,000 up for grabs.

 What’s it all about…

Young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are looking for support with their school, uni, arts or sporting dreams are encouraged to apply for the Young, Black and Proud Scholarship. There’s $1000 and $2000 scholarships available.

To be eligible for the scholarship they need to be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent; 25 years old or younger; and living in Queensland.

 Applications close 10 June.

 How you can help

 Please spread the word about the scholarship with your networks, colleagues, family and friends. You can forward this email or print out the posters and flyers to assist you in promoting the program within your local community. Also attached is the info pack, application form and photo consent form. All materials are also available online at http://bit.ly/ybds2019.
