Coonabarabran: AK-47 seized following alleged domestic violence incident
A man will appear in court today after firearms including an AK-47 assault rifle were seized following an alleged domestic violence incident in Coonabarabran.
It is alleged that a 65-year-old man fired a .223 calibre rifle into the room of a house that his 61-year-old wife was in, following a verbal argument at about 8pm (Monday 1 February 2016).
The man has been charged with fire firearm in manner likely to injure person, armed with intent to commit indictable offence, common assault, intimidation, and possess unregistered prohibited firearm.
He is bail refused to attend Dubbo Local Court this morning (Tuesday 2 February 2016).
